An evil scientest teamed up with a race of evil aleins, with plans of taken over the Earth. A teen wins a video game. This game is really a test to recruit a team of MegaRangr. The teen and his friends become the Megaranger and fight the evil forces of the scientist.

A sixth member jions the team with  experimental powers. The powers only allowed him to morph temprotally. Thuis problem was dixed and he jioned the team full time.

Eventually the Niarangers emerged as evil adversaries for the Megaranger. The Evil Scientist tried to use them to cause his master to lose all his power. Which would have resulted in him taken over. His plan was foiled when the Megaranger defeated the Niarangers. Eventually the MegaRanger defeated the evil scientist.
